Undrift ("we", "our", or "the app") is a relationship reminder app that helps you stay in touch with the people who matter. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it goes, and your choices.
You add people with Apple's contact picker. Undrift never gets access to your whole address book: it only receives the people you pick, and for each one it keeps:
Alongside each person, Undrift stores what you tell it: how often to reach out, how (call, text, or FaceTime), the relationship, private notes, and when you last caught up.
Your people and notes are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, they're also synced to your private iCloud database so they survive a new phone. That database belongs to your Apple ID; we can't read it. If you delete the app, the data on your device is removed; you can remove the iCloud copy in iOS Settings under your Apple ID > iCloud.
When you text someone from Undrift, the app can pre-write a message using Apple's on-device language model. The note and name used to write it never leave your phone. Messages are sent through Apple's Messages app, and only when you tap Send.
To learn which parts of the app help people and where they get stuck, Undrift sends anonymous usage events through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. Events describe actions only, for example "finished setup with 3 people" or "caught up by text". They never include names, phone numbers, notes, or message text. TelemetryDeck hashes device identifiers before they leave your phone and does not track you across apps or websites.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; the app only receives whether your subscription is active.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They don't pass through any server of ours.
Undrift has no ads, doesn't sell or share your data, and doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Undrift is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
